Optiemus Infracom Launches High-Precision Drones in India, Forays into Unmanned Systems
Optiemus Infracom Limited, one of India’s leading electronics and telecommunications manufacturing companies, has announced its entry into unmanned systems with the launch of a range of technologically-sophisticated, high-precision drones. The products were showcased at the India Mobile Congress 2023 and feature advanced sensors, secure communication systems, and stringent safety protocols.
Optiemus has invested ₹250 million in Optiemus Unmanned Systems (OUS), a new division of the company that will lead research, development, and manufacturing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). OUS aims to drive synergies from the manufacturing excellence of Optiemus Electronics Limited and the go-to-market capabilities of Optiemus to deliver first-of-its-kind drones in India.
The launch of high-precision drones by Optiemus Infracom aligns with the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative and the Atmanirbhar Bharat program, which aims to promote indigenous products designed and manufactured in India.

Juniper Green Energy to Install 16 Wind Turbines in Gujarat’s Dwarka District by 2025. Juniper Green Energy Private Limited has been awarded a bid by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) to supply 16 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, to be installed in Dwarka district, Gujarat. The project is expected to be completed in 2025 and has the potential to provide electricity to around 38,000 households while reducing approximately 1.51 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
