Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has entered into a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with Endurance Technologies Limited, a leading auto component manufacturer, through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) TP Green Nature Limited.
The agreement is for the development of a 12.5 MW AC Captive Solar Plant in Aachegaon, Maharashtra, which will generate 27.5 million units (MUs) of electricity each year.
The project is expected to be completed within 12 months from the signing of the PDA and will help in reducing Endurance Technologies’ carbon footprint by mitigating approximately 9,125 metric tonnes (MT) of carbon emissions annually.
Ashish Khanna, CEO of TPREL, has expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Endurance Technologies Limited, stating that the captive solar plant will help the company adopt sustainable energy solutions. TPREL is committed to supporting energy-intensive businesses in various industries to actively adopt green energy solutions and contribute to the nation’s energy transition journey.
It’s worth noting that TPREL and Endurance Technologies Limited already have a successful partnership with a 12.5 MW captive solar power plant in Akkalkot, Maharashtra. The operational solar plant has an annual power generation capacity of 18.7 million units (MUs). TPREL has demonstrated its expertise in tailoring captive energy solutions for various industries, including steel, hospitality, realty, auto components, and polymer, and delivering them in a dependable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly way.
